BEFORE YOU APPLY
Requirements vary by role. Celestial Nest considers experienced professionals as well as candidates who are beginning their careers with relevant qualifications or training.
Nannies
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional childcare experience.
Babysitters & Mother’s Helpers
A minimum of 1 year of relevant childcare experience, or a relevant childcare qualification or recognised training.
Maternity Nurses
Applicants must be qualified nurses and hold current registration with the nursing regulator applicable to the jurisdiction in which they will work. Candidates must also demonstrate relevant newborn or postnatal experience, training, or clinical placement appropriate to the responsibilities of the role.

Nanny-Housekeepers
A minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience, plus demonstrable household-support experience.
Junior Nannies
A relevant childcare qualification or recognised childcare training. Previous professional nanny experience is not required, allowing newly qualified candidates to begin their career in private nannying.
Newborn Care Specialists
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on newborn care experience, plus relevant newborn-specific training or qualifications.
Postpartum Support Professionals
A minimum of 1 year of relevant newborn and postpartum support experience, plus appropriate training for the non-clinical support provided.
Family Assistants
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in childcare, household support, family assistance, administration, or a closely related field.
All Applicants
Depending on the role and location, applicants should be prepared to provide professional references, proof of identity and right to work, relevant qualifications or certifications where applicable, and information required as part of the appropriate screening process.
